Della’s passion for retail began at the age of ten whilst assisting in her family’s small retail business. Saturday shifts, trips to the cash n’ carry and calculating profit margins were the everyday until she joined the UK’s largest pharmacy chain, Boots, as a graduate trainee. At Boots, she held roles across commercial category buying, supply chain and marketing, covering a variety of categories across health & beauty.

Following a 2-year career break from Boots during which she travelled extensively, Della found herself back in the Nottingham Boots HQ with very itchy feet, the travel bug had took residence! Happily, in 2006, the Middle East came knocking with an opportunity to move to Kuwait to be part of the small team to open the first ever Boots Pharmacy franchise operation.

150 stores and 16 years later Della rose to be one of few female senior leaders at the Alshaya Group until recently when she held the position of General Manager for a local UAE pharmacy chain, tasked with its turnaround.

Now, after living in Dubai for almost 20 years, fuelled by her passion for people, Della has created her own coaching and mentoring business. Aimed purposely at helping small businesses thrive, Della has distilled 25 years retail experience into personalised support made accessible for even the tiniest start up.
